WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE COUNTRY WAS BEING ROBBED ANWAR?

Press statement by Kua Kia Soong, SUARAM Adviser 28 October 2019

The ‘PM-indeterminate’ Anwar Ibrahim seems to have picked the wrong example to try to be on the right side of the ever-determined Prime Minister. He has lambasted one of Malaysia’s more honest academics, Dr Lim Teck Ghee for apparently “keeping quiet during the era of corruption and theft under the BN government” just because Lim called the PH record since the 2018 general election “an unmitigated disaster”.

OUR SQUANDERED OIL FUND COULD HAVE BEEN OUR PENSION FUND

Press statement by Kua Kia Soong, SUARAM Adviser 13 Sept 2019

The Malaysian government is pointing to our near empty national coffers as a justification for not paying pensions to our civil servants. Considering our petroleum industry started in the 1970s, compare our financial state to that of the Government Pension Fund of Norway, also known as their Oil Fund which was only established in 1990 to invest the surplus revenues of the Norwegian petroleum sector. The PH leaders had promised that affirmative action would be needs-based rather than race-based and concerned rights activists, economists and investors alike have called for the termination of the never-ending New Economic Policy.

PH OR BN, WE’RE STUCK WITH THE MALAY AGENDA

Press statement by Kua Kia Soong, SUARAM Adviser 7 March 2018

I believe young Malaysians like Wan Saiful should have a go at the political game which is like a merry go round in a fun fair and that the aging politicians who have been hogging the dumb horses for nearly half a century should get off and let other youngsters have a go…
