SUARAM has two vacancies currently:

  • PROGRAM MANAGER
  • FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
  • PROGRAM MANAGER

Program Manager to coordinate and organise projects and programs in line with SUARAM’s strategies and development plans. You will also oversee operational plans, monitoring and reporting, writing proposals and preparing budget.

Remuneration: circa RM 5,000 (based on experience and qualification)

Period of Employment: on a year to year basis.

The Program Manager’s work scope will be as follows:
• Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
• Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
• Creating and managing long-term goals.
• Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
• Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
• Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of
services.
• Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent
regarding project issues and decisions on services.
• To bear the responsibility of managing a diverse team of human rights
advocates.
• Producing accurate and timely reports of program status throughout its life cycle.
• Analyzing and reporting on program risks.
• Assist Executive Director in overall operational and development of SUARAM’s
programs.

Requirements:
A minimum of bachelor’s degree from a recognized educational institution.
Working experience in both program management and team management.

Knowledgeable in politics, human rights and regional developments.
Experienced in using digital gadgets for a variety of tasks.

Competent in Microsoft applications, primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Good command of language in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Able to communicate confidently with respective stakeholders.
Proven stakeholder management skills.

  • FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Finance and Administration Assistant to assist the Finance Administration
Manager to maintain financial and administrative records. Finance and Administration Assistant is responsible for drafting and updating financial statements and spreadsheets as well as assisting program coordinators in their projects finance administration.

Remuneration: circa RM 3,000 (based on experience and qualification)

Period of Employment: on a year to year basis.

The Finance and Administration Assistant’s work scope will be as follows:
• Processing and preparing financial statements.
• Overseeing client accounts.
• Creating, sending, and following up on invoices.
• Collecting and reviewing data for reports.
• Reviewing and performing audits on financial statements and reports.
• Reporting discrepancies.
• Preparing payments for employees.
• Suggesting improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs.
• Handling office tasks, such as filing, generating reports and presentations,
setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.

Finance Assistant Requirements:
• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized
educational institution.
• Working experience in accounting and administration.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent time management skills.
