Documentation and monitoring of human rights violation is core to SUARAM's human rights advocacy. Without clear and coherent data, SUARAM would not be in a position to identify the root cause of human rights violations and provide the appropriate recommendations to rectify the issue.

To achieve the most accurate data for our Annual Human Rights Reports, we compiled our data through the following ways:

 

1. SUARAM's coordinators collect every case of human rights violations tied to SUARAM's focus area,

 

2. Data from daily media monitoring and online data collection, and

 

3. Trawling through Parliament and other government data.
